Introduction
We remain committed to improving our practices to combat slavery and human trafficking.
Our organisation
Plexus Legal LLP is a limited liability partnership registered in England and Wales (LLP number OC416421), having its registered office address at Joseph’s Well, Hanover Walk, Leeds, LS3 1AB (Plexus).
Plexus Legal LLP is firms of solicitors authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority of England and Wales (SRA ID 638317).
Our Firm has a number of offices in England.
What have we done and intend to do about combatting modern and human trafficking?
We have drafted and implemented a Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy, which is supported by a Guidance Note and an awareness brief on the Human Slavery Act, 2015 (MSA) copies of which are on our Intranet for our staff.
We regularly review our Supplier Management Policy & Procedure and related documentation to ensure these are in line with and support our Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy.
To raise awareness of the evils that the MSA combats we have included this in our induction training for new employees.
Our supply chains
Our supply chains include barristers, commercial and employment lawyers, medical and other professional experts and suppliers to the support services within our business which includes IT, Facilities and Finance and accordingly we are fortunate that the risk of encountering contraventions of the MSA in our supply chains is extremely low.
Our policies on slavery and human trafficking
We are nevertheless committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our supply chains or in any part of our business. Our policies & procedures, including our Modern Slavery & Human Trafficking Policy and our Financial Crime & Fraud Policy, reflects our commitment to act ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships and to implement and enforce effective systems and controls to ensure criminal conduct, including slavery and human trafficking is not taking place anywhere in our supply chains.
Supplier adherence to our values regarding modern slavery & human trafficking
We have a zero tolerance to slavery and human trafficking. We will endeavour to ensure all those in our supply chain and contractors comply with the MSA by including appropriate contractual terms where we are able to do so.
Our effectiveness in combating slavery and human trafficking
We review our effectiveness in combatting slavery and human trafficking from time-to-time and make such changes and take such further steps as we feel are necessary to ensure we and our suppliers remain fully compliant with the MSA.
This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act, 2015 and constitutes our slavery and human trafficking statement for the financial year ending 31 March 2022.
