Plexus Law offer a wide variety of legal and professional support roles to cater for people with different skill sets, academic achievements and career ambitions. Read on for a snapshot of our roles. Finance is one of a number of support services critical to the firm. Services range from providing day-to-day financial operational support to strategic accounts management for the business.
All financial transactions are governed by the Solicitors Regulatory Authority Accounts Rules 2011 (SARs) and enforced by the Solicitors Regulatory Authority (SRA) in addition to adherence to internal firm policies and procedures to ensure compliance with SARs.
The day-to-day operational responsibility for compliance with SARs is delegated to Finance, ensuring regulatory and statutory compliance in all aspects of financial management; maintaining efficient process and procedures for the benefit of the firm.

The IT department is an integral part of the business, from defining information technology strategies, developing solutions to support the firm’s effectiveness through to managing and maintaining efficient systems and steering the firm’s controls on security governance. Human Resources (HR)
Our HR department is responsible for advising staff, managing relevant administrative functions as well as being responsible for the overall wellbeing of our staff. As part of the HR team you will be responsible for implementing policies and procedures, making sure employee information is up to date and consulting with employees on any workplace issues.
Beyond these duties, HR are also involved in recruiting, hiring/training new employees, the running of our internal promotions programme and facilitating talent development.
Our Facilities Team is an integral part of Plexus Law and are at the core of the organisation. They are responsible for making sure the firm can carry out its day-to-day activities, to ensure an excellent service is provided to clients. As part of the Facilities Team, you could be responsible for ensuring the building meets the needs of the firm and its employees, or you could be part of the admin team that is responsible for filing/dealing with post.
Our secretarial staff are essential in providing administrative support to senior Fee Earners, helping to take control of their time management and developing an understanding of their role to proactively offer support to enable them to work as efficiently as possible. Duties vary from day-to-day and from team-to-team but we require all our secretarial staff to have a typing speed in excess of 65wpm, display excellent communication skills and ideally have worked as a Legal Typist, although a medico-legal or professional services background is of interest to us.
As a Client Administrator with Plexus Law, your role will be varied and will involve providing office based legal administrative support to your team including dealing with email correspondence, filing, scanning and faxing, to include chasing experts, CRU, witnesses etc., dealing with telephone calls (both internally and externally), travel booking, diary management including meeting bookings and Court dates/Counsel, gathering and recording of client MI, administering the case management system and maintaining other office systems. You will also take responsibility for ensuring financial transactions are completed to meet deadlines.
Many of our Client Administrators consider this role as an invaluable start to their careers and go on to establish themselves as Legal Assistants and ultimately Solicitors or Managers with the firm.
Legal Assistant (Paralegal)
As a Legal Assistant, you will perform a wide variety of tasks specific to the department in which you work. You will be responsible for managing your own caseload and liaising with Insurer and corporate clients and third parties to ensure the best possible outcome is achieved. Work may be pre or post litigation, including personal injury.
Our Legal Assistants provide technical advice but also look further into risk management for the client, providing an outstanding service which makes a difference to our clients’ business. Many progress within the firm and maximise their potential, right up to Partner level.
