Plexus Law have entered a team in to the Wirral Dragon Boat Festival taking place at West Kirby Sailing Lake on Saturday 7th July to raise funds for Headway Wirral.
This year marks Headway Wirral’s 30th anniversary. Headway Wirral is a local charity that works to improve life after brain injury. Through a range of frontline services it provides support, services and information to brain injury survivors, their relatives and carers. They work closely with health and legal professionals and provide guidance on such matters as social services and financial support.
The Dragon Boat Festival, now in its sixth year, is Headway Wirral’s single biggest fundraising event of the year and has become instrumental in their continued service to the public of Wirral.
Paddling (furiously!) on behalf of Plexus Law and competing against the likes of Carpenters and the Merseyside Police, the crew includes: Emelia Gahan, Daniel Clegg, Jo Pizzala, Kathryn Oldfield, Anthony Baker, Lorien Helm Joshua Houston, Michael Francis, Amera Manjra, Andrea Truta and Tracie Gillies, with more crew members to be announced shortly…
Mayor-Elect, Councillor Geoffrey Watt, will be opening the event. Sunday Brunch’s Simon Rimmer will also be competing as part of ‘The Vikings’ team.
Daniel Clegg, Partner in the Manchester office commented: “The Headway dragon boat race 2018 promises to be a fun family friendly event, which will gives law firms and other organisations the chance to battle it out for bragging rights. It will also of course raise money for a worthy cause, to support those who have suffered acquired brain injury.”
